Dropdle saves your daily relics, collection and social progress. You can play as a guest or sign in to keep your profile across devices.
What the game stores
- Player profile
- A player ID, public ID, display name and friend code. If you sign in, the game links the profile to an authentication user ID.
- Game activity
- Your daily rolls, relic details, odds, scores and streaks, plus friend requests and friendships.
- Sign-in
- When you sign in, Better Auth stores your account email, provider connection and session data in the Neon database. Google or Discord also processes information when you choose its sign-in option. Resend processes your email address to deliver a magic link when you request one. The game tables use an authentication ID to link your profile.
Cookies and device settings
A necessary cookie keeps a guest profile linked to this browser for up to one year. When you play inside another website, partitioned cookies keep a separate guest profile for that website; it does not share progress with direct play on Dropdle. A temporary cookie helps attach that profile when you choose to sign in; it lasts up to ten minutes. Better Auth manages sign-in session cookies. Your emoji display preference is saved in this browser's local storage.
Who can see it
Your display name and relics can appear on leaderboards and public player pages. Friends can compare drops and see their connection to you. Do not use personal information as your display name if you do not want it shown to other players.
Why and where data is used
Profile and roll data are used to provide the game features you request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Limited technical data may be processed to operate and protect the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Vercel hosts the site; Neon hosts the game and account database. Google or Discord handles sign-in when selected, Resend delivers requested magic links, and Zoho Mail handles messages sent to the support address. These providers may process technical request or account data, including IP or browser information, as needed for those services.
Your data, your call
You can clear what Dropdle saves on your device through your browser's site data settings. This removes access to a guest profile that is not linked to an account, but it does not delete the profile, rolls or social data from our servers.
For anything we hold on our side — seeing, correcting, receiving a copy of or deleting it — use the privacy contact below. We may need to verify that the profile is yours before responding to a data request. You can change your display name yourself in Profile.
Player profiles and roll history currently have no automatic expiry. There is no self-service account deletion or data export button yet. Where applicable, you can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
